New Day House Buyers, LLC (a veteran owned family business) was created with the mission to be a beacon of light for home owners that find themselves in an unfortunate situation looking for a fair honest solution to their unique circumstances. We truly believe that there is no one size fits all answer, and each house, each individual, each family has their own distinct story and situation. In a time when everyone is quick to only look out for themselves and will say whatever it takes to make a dollar, New Day House Buyers believes that it is our responsibility to use our knowledge, experience, and desire to help those in need by providing true housing solutions tailored to your personal needs. We may not be the solution for everyones needs, but if we can’t help you directly we will still try to find someone that can. New Day House Buyers was started up by myself Tim Dowdle and my beautiful amazing wife Melinda Dowdle, I better say that it or I may just be out in the doghouse. Seriously, she is amazing and beautiful, and I can honestly say that with full conviction and mean it. I first gained interest in home restorations when I was still pretty young as my parents renovated our western North Carolina home to accommodate for my grandparents to move after my grandfather had a severe stroke. This project turned a downstairs storage area into a standalone apartment that allowed my parents to be in close proximity and provided 24/7 family support to assist in this time of need. For myself, after many missed nails, smashed fingers, and constantly being in the way, I learned at a very early age the value of renovating homes and doing what ever it takes to take care of those around you.
I later went on to work as a carpenter for a couple years until enlisting in the United States Marine Corps (SEMPER FI). After serving in operations in Kosovo, Djibouti, United Arab of Emirates and Iraq, I returned home to North Carolina and enrolled in North Carolina State University (GO WOLFPACK) and obtained a bachelors degree with a concentration in construction engineering and management. A couple years later I went back and got my master’s degree, also in construction engineering and management. Since that time I worked through the ranks up to senior project manager in the industrial construction industry and hold my national accreditation of a Project Management Professional (PMP). Over the years I have volunteered locally with churches, Toys-for-Tots, and helped build handicap ramps for the less fortunate thru the Marine Corps League and a Christian outreach program. During all this, I never lost my interest in residential construction and have done numerous renovations over the past 22 years.
My much better half, Melinda, also attended North Carolina State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture management. After desiring to be more directly involved with helping the community, Melinda chose to change careers and graduated from the prestigious Watts School of Nursing. She then went back to school again and obtained another bachelor’s degree this time in nursing from East Carolina University. Melinda is now a Registered Nurse (RN) at a local hospital in western North Carolina where she rotates between the Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Room. I can truly say that I don’t believe I have every meet anyone with a heart as big as hers, and she is an absolute amazing mother. God was really looking out for me when he sit her in front of me, and I can promise you she will turn red when she reads this and realizes I published it on the world wide web.
Due to our desire to help others, and not seeing a true transparent people first mentality in the local community, New Day House Buyers, LLC was formed with the following Core Values:
